Hollywood's Youth Tonic

I used the injectable fillers in a different way than most people. I felt I wanted a certain tip shape for my nose and an eye droop at the very corners of my eyes. I came up with the idea of using the filler called Juvederm in such a way that gave me what I called puppy dog eyes. Many celebrities use injectable fillers to fine tune areas as well as to achieve the popular rejuvenated look. The refreshed look is only possible by plumping the skin up through a fat transfer to the face or injectable fillers. The doctor who gave me the puppy dog downturned eyes was a local doctor named Dr McMahan. He has not been available so I have not had it done. He knows it takes a few minutes of his time but it does not last permanently unless he uses more long term fillers in the exact way he used the Juvederm for several years in the exact same way. Dr McMahan has such a detailed mind and he takes notes to clarify how he uses each vial so very little room for error exists. since he has done it so often, he has my eyes almost memorized. The reason Dr McMahan has not used the more permanent filler in the same way it is approved of in my case is he seems to not have as much confidence in his capabilities to be as exact as he is. I did speak with other doctors who suggested in my case because of discomfort they recommended the more permanent injectables like Scupltra or other newer ones since repetition over multiple times makes work exact. Right now there are no injectables in my face of any kind.

Interestingly, I spoke with other doctors in our family, who agreed with Dr McMahan's desire to be exact but they didn't understand his lack of confidence in his ability to do the same work with the more permanent injectables since they are dissolvable. In their opinion no harm could come. They felt like I do that the was more precise than he released since it always came out looking the same way His hand knew what his mind did not realize. We have 5 or 6 doctors and one nurse practitioner in our family and those who share a close family bond with us. The young children who my mother tutored became doctors as well and they are family to ours over the many years of celebrating family holidays together. Those doctors call my Mom Grandma. So you see, I am surrounded by doctors, dentists, eye surgeons by specialty and medical professionals. The state in the US I reside in is a unique state or so I have observed. I don't know why I went off on a tangent, I suppose to give my readers an understanding that there are always options in how injectables are used and even who does it makes a difference in the way a procedure is done.

Injectables might be the way people think that youthful looks can be achieved since it is almost expected that celebrities use the products even if they don't. The way I suggested to my doctor, Dr

McMahan, might be a way for you to achieve a permanent or even a temporary change without going under the knife. Like you, I always prefer less pain knowing you can save yourself that type of recovery is useful. Knowing even the injectable used can be dissolved is also a great reassurance or safety net to many. If you like a temporary procedure, it can always be made to last for years just by switching the material.

A Beauty Tip from Matthew Morrison's Wife Renee

Renee Morrison is a beautiful actress, singer and model. Renee is known for her glowing skin and carefree lifestyle. Just like Matthew Morrison, Renee is very laid back as she enjoys living with the public eye on her. Renee will always have a big smile on her face as if she is on top of the world. Can you blame her? She has a wonderful husband who is a great father, a beautiful son and the wisdom to value the life and people she has been given. I admire her adventurous personality that she keeps balanced with her peaceful yogic center. I knew long before they married that the two were amazing together. They inspire others to live, love and enjoy it all.

Like in this photo, Renee Morrison's skin is always glowing quite often it comes from within. A great product doesn't hurt either:) She knows how to apply it.

Renee's makeup is perfect for her skin tones. She knows how to use the right shades and combinations to make her features pop. I love how she uses illuminizer to accentuate the beauty of her skin. She told me she likes Nars products to provide her glow. I have used Nars in the past and they do make excellent highlighting products that hold up well throughout the day.  Nars keeps its highlighting going even under lights and heat from exercise. The effect from their products is almost heavenly. That is why Renee likes it so much. I agree she is right. Copacabana is the shade I have used most often. The company makes several shades that work well on all skin tones. Since I have such fair skin, I find the light pink hue in Copacabana looks great. In some of my videos and photo shoots you can see me wearing it.

Nars makes an excellent illunimizer that many celebrities love.

Matthew Morrison told me that Renee likes to steam her face several times a week and gets facials often at different places including her own at home treatments. She uses a simply towel with some herbs or other steam products premade and a sink of water. Steaming your face is that easy. Her skincare is the foundation to her beauty. Clear glowing skin before makeup creates the best palette to apply makeup. If you dont start with good skin it is hard to fake it and still look as natural as Renee. I heard she likes Skinceuticals products and is a fan of their vitamin c serum. She might have heard about it through a conversation I had about the product and Skinceuticals. I have used it for years. I had a doctor who swore by it. I had that doctor for so many years that he knew my skin very well.

A few of Kim Kardashian's Favorite Beauty Products

Kim Kardashian likes Make Up Forever foundation and primer. Kim uses Makeup Forever when she is working, doing publicity shots, appearance or camera work. She feels it holds up well under the heat of the lights. She explains that if you are in a humid environment, most makeup requires blotting. Makeup Forever does not require blotting. It is not sweating that makes shine occur, but it is the way that most foundations react to the heat and humidity. This foundation stays shine free. I have a funny story to help illustrate my point at how effective the product is under camera lights and humidity. While using the HD makeup, I was mistaken for a TV reporter at a televised Hillary Clinton event. The woman was discussing how HD impacts her makeup with me while we were in the bathroom and she kept referring to me as a fellow reporter. I am not sure if the confusion  occurred because I have been at many televised events with the camera on me and done interviews with the media in different states that she might have not been able to place the face but simply recognized me. Either way it was a funny conversation where I mostly listened and the reporter enjoyed expressing her feelings towards HD. Kim's everyday makeup is different since it does not require the same kind of demands. 

Kim likes Makeup Forever's eyeliner in beige.  It stays put all day. I have used their white eyeliner and it worked perfectly. Kim's famous illumination comes from her bronzer. Sephora carries a lot of the line.

Rosewater is another of Kim's favorite products. She feels it is a great way to freshen up. I have found that just one or two sprays is all you need to feel great. The benefits of using rosewater on the skin have been documented for centuries as one of the oldest beauty products. It is not just an aphrodisiac but from what I have read it is full of antioxidants that protect the skin. Everything from reducing eye puffiness and inflammation to removing makeup or use as a toner and even as a moisturizer rosewater does it all. I first learned about the benefits when I was working with natural cosmetics as a rep and working tradeshow floors. I have been using it ever since. 

I am wearing a pair of Kim's Shoe Dazzle boots. I have them in hot pink as well.

On a side note,

Kendall likes to play dress up with me and others. She has such a big wardrobe. Her wardrobe amazes me. Kendall loves to make others happy as a result she sometimes she gives out her clothes to her fans as a surprise. The model does it like an impromptu makeover. The fan never sees it coming and they never ask for the item. It just kind of happens. Kendall will see someone and think something she has would look good on them so she gives it to that person. It is always done when there is not a big crowd so that Kendall has a chance to think and see the individual. In a big group Kendall does not do impromptu makeovers since it is not comfortable for her or others. The media does not know she does not know she sometimes gives away items. That is how sneaky she is. It is a fun way for her to make someone's day by popping up and giving them a scarf or some other item.

Chris Jenner asked me to give a shout out to one of her favorite local people Joe. Joe is a fan who likes to read my blogs and Chris knows him through several people over the years. Joe's persona is the best and it makes Chris laugh every time she hears him.

Shout out to Kate Hudson, I like your style. Roses are so beautiful. The outfit has white roses on the tank, grey pants and a black bralette. I was informed it will be on the American site soon. Kate, how did you get the grey so match my living room walls so perfectly?It's a color match to the exact color grey.

Nicole Kidman and I Have a Favorite Mascara

Nicole Kidman and I share a favorite mascara. We both like Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. It is a cult favorite for many reasons. The mascara makes your eyes pop out. Nicole agrees with me. When she bats her beautiful eyes at Keith, Better than Sex is often part of her look. The cameras adore it. Keeping Keith's attention is easy when you have one of the best peepers in the world like Nicole. My husband knows the same thing. When I want to get his attention, a few coats of this mascara and a couple of flirty looks always gets great results from him. Both Nic and I enjoy flirting with our spouses. Sometimes my flirting is very playful like last night when I was trying to roll his pat legs up into shorts while he was sort of half focused on a computer game. He likes to watch me when playful near his knees since at times I will bite them in a cute way that tickles. I use to do that to my kids and they would giggle. My husband and I like to play games with each other. It keep us both smiling.

Better than Sex Mascara is fantastic. I use the trial size because it means I have fresh mascara anytime I need it. The length is great as the color coats each lash and extends the look while staying put all day long. The mascara removes easily with a small amount of eye make up remover.

On a side note,

Kim Kardashian has one of the biggest hearts and her charisma makes the people around her smile. Even though I don't know her as well as I would like to. I do hear the same warm stories repeated about Kim by so many who know her well. Her TV show does not covey how warm she but open arms is how she is. She is a nice lady who does a lot of kind things that go under the radar. Hugh Hefner wanted her in his magazine not just because of her body but because of her sweet personality. She is also a very sentimental person. I heard she has a pet rock that someone gave to her and I do not mean the gemstone pet rocks. She does have some of those too. Kim has real old fashioned pet rock like the kind kids get. 

For those of you who read my blog on "Tom Cruise Loves to Row", be sure to invest in some good rowing or weight lifting gloves. You're gonna need them. My husband just got me a new pink pair of rowing gloves. They are not an expensive item but they will save you from getting calluses. Since I wrote the article, I found out that Hugh Jackman, Brad Pitt amongst other celebrities use the rowing machine to build muscle and burn fat.  The rowing machine is definitely a great low impact muscle building workout.

Tom Cruise Loves to Row

I was trying to decide whether to get an elliptical, treadmill or bike. I mentioned that to Tom Cruise in one of our recent conversations. He immediately said what I need to try is a rowing machine. That response surprised me. Tom took no time in explaining to me the benefits of rowing. He said it builds muscle strength while it gives you a cardio workout. Tom says he uses one almost every day. The workout is far better, in his opinion, than most other forms of cardio and the results you want in toning as well as weight loss occur in no time. I imagined with his form that he knows a lot about different forms of exercise. Bodybuilding is not something I have done in years so I am not as inclined to do it even though I am starting to work with weights.


Tom Cruise knows me well enough to understand that I go for long lasting impact and time is important to me.  He said it is not as important to row for very long as it is do row very regularly. I started to look into what he was saying and I was pleased with what I read. I heard a rowing machine helps build lower and upper body strength as well as strengthens your core muscles. I also read not only does it strengthen them but it builds endurance as well. So it seems Tom is on to something. Compared to other exercise equipment, the machines are just as expensive. Many of the rowing machines collapse up so they require less storage room. Low impact cardio workout is important to me as I run almost every day and having a low impact trade off would be great. I like the high calorie burn of running . Tom feels the intensity I could achieve with rowing is different. Rowing is an intense workout that is adjustable so I could achieve the results I enjoy in less time than my normal workouts. I read that rowing burns average 600 calories per hour. There are lots of other celebrity rowing fans such as the Wolverine or Hugh Jackman.

Above is the same rowing machine that I have and enjoy. It builds your core muscles which has a lasting result on your health, fitness and overall body shape.

Tom says that some people have expressed to him their concern about the impact of running on their breasts. I recall when I was teaching at one gym the owner reflected that concern to me in reference to all woman. I am not aware of a scientific study that links running to break down of breast muscle. People who worry about it, might be pleased with this option as a great substitute or even an improvement from a run. I will have to let everyone know what I learn from using one. I have the Pro

One of Angelina Jolie's Favorite Lip Glosses

Angelina Jolie likes Urban Decay lip gloss as much as I do. My personal favorite is Vice Special Effects Gloss in Monarch. The gloss is fun and slightly funky. Vice Special Effects gloss can be played down using their more conservative shades like White Lie, Litter, Third Degree and Fever are very subtle depending upon the application.  Many of Urban Decay's gloss are brightly tinted such as Reverb, Ritual Circuit and Monarchy.  This little sample set I got from Sephora. I enjoyed it since it gives you a variety of ideas and a way to experiment with a few different shades for free.

The company makes a wide variety of colors. Angie's kids saw me wearing the Monarchy gloss over my blue lipstick and it became one of their favorites. In the selfie below I am wearing the Monarchy shade and you can see it can be subtle.

Even though the actress goes for more traditional colors in gloss and lipsticks, she is not beyond the reaches of a kid's makeover. We both have undergone the same process as we let our children apply makeup on us. It is always fun to see the combinations and allow our kids to create a new look. I have had a cat drawn on my eye with eyeliner. I had a unicorn makeup makeover complete with hairstyle swept up into a horn. My daughter greatly enjoyed that one the best out of all of her exploration.

I used the Urban Decay Lip Gloss in Monarchy. The hair stripes are Periwinkle Blue hair coloring by Arctic Fox.

As far as exercise goes, I mentioned in another blog that Angelina Jolie loves to enjoy dance for her cardio workout .She also swears by doing lots of squats to get gorgeous legs. Yoga for relaxation, balance and muscle tone. I find Shiva Squats are a great example of a complicated squat that combines Yoga and muscle toning.

Cameron Diaz's Skincare Tips

Cameron Diaz has the perfect girl next door look. She always has a radiant glow to her look. Cameron believes keeping your face clean using a good soap and water is the key to healthy skin. She uses an enzyme peel in the form of an enzyme mask twice a week. Papaya is an excellent source for an enzyme mask. Moisturizing from within by eating avocados is another of her tips. Drinking lots of water is a staple to any good skincare routine not only does  flush out the toxins but it moisturizes your skin. We both are known for having our water on hand. I feel water combines well with certain products such a hyaluronic acids. Products with hyaluronic acid work best if you drink water before you use them or so I am told. I love the new hyaluronic acid items that have been coming out lately. Some of them are really amazing in their impact.

We both love seaweed facials. Cameron says the micronutrients are unstoppable and the benefits from one weekly mask will surprise you. I have not done one in a while but hearing her say how much she likes sea weed facials brought back memories for me of their benefits. Seaweed facials are easy to make. You can find several recipes online even certain spas use their own in house recipes. Cameron Daiz's new book "The Longevity Book -  The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength and the Privilege of Time" a great book to pick up. It has a lot of tips in it.

Wrap yourself up in some good healthy seaweed, lather on papaya and you will be glowing in no time ;)
